Hostnames
Hostnames this environment answers to, grouped by what each one does.Derived the way the node derives it. The internal ha-* address is created and DNS-managed automatically and secured by the node wildcard; records for customer hostnames are managed in their own zone host. Every served hostname redirects HTTP to HTTPS automatically once its certificate is live.
DNS target for customer hostnames: A → 203.0.113.10 · CNAME → edge-node-7.hosting.example
The internal ha-* address is what serves this environment right now, so it cannot be turned off. It stays on until a customer hostname becomes the Server Name.
Pending hostname
Promoting and rolling back change what this node serves as canonical. Neither touches the customer’s DNS — we have no access to their provider, and the record they added is theirs to keep or remove.
